Easy Street Motorsports, Inc., also known as ESX, holds title to the “Worlds Quickest and Fastest Subaru.” Factory supported by Subaru of America, Inc. since late 2001, ESX travels across the country promoting Subaru and Subaru Performance Tuning (SPT), the brand’s internal performance parts division. The Subaru/SPT/ESX Team attends dozens of Sport Compact Races, Subaru dealership shows and special events each year. In 2005, ESX released the Ali Afshar Signature Series ESX/STI, named for the company founder and president.
Ali Afshar
Not only is Afshar the principal for the Subaru/SPT/ESX Drag Racing Team, he also pilots the Pro Class Modified Drag Racing WRX STI. A previous multi-race winner, Ali ran his All-Wheel Drive WRX STI in September 2005 to set a blistering quarter-mile Subaru world speed record at 173 mph. Television viewers know Afshar as “Alex Dodd,” a stage name he uses for his “other” career – acting. As Alex Dodd, Afshar has appeared in numerous television movies and series, including recurring roles on the CBS hits “The King Of Queens” and “Jag.”

Julie Stepan
Raised in Texas and drag racing at an early age, Stepan earned her spot as driver of the Street Class Subaru/SPT/ESX Drag Racing WRX by beating out hundreds of applicants in the Maximum Velocity Driver Search and out-driving the contest finalists. In only her first season with the team, Stepan has already won three prestigious races and is looking forward to adding to her tally in 2006.
