Subaru World Rally Team new partner update

Sparco Italian motorsport equipment manufacturer Sparco will supply the Subaru World Rally Team with safety products and other automotive accessories for its assault on the 2005 World Rally Championship.
Under the terms of the new partnership deal, Sparco will be the team's sole supplier of driver overalls, mechanics clothing, helmets, seats, seatbelts, head and neck support systems and a variety of other products from its world-leading range of motorsport accessories.
Petter Solberg, Chris Atkinson and Stéphane Sarrazin will be dressed from head to foot in Sparco's X-light range of protective clothing, while their Impreza world rally cars will be fitted with Sparco steering wheels and the latest carbon fibre seats, which weigh less then five kilogrammes and are specially designed to accommodate the now compulsory HANS® head and neck support system.
NTT Communications Verio Europe, a subsidiary of NTT Communications has joined forces with the Subaru World Rally Team to host the team's website swrt.com. Verio will also become a technology partner for the Subaru World Rally Team. Verio Europe will provide Internet infrastructure, managed security services and online solutions for swrt.com. Visited by more than 160,000 fans during each rally and over 2.5 million visitors throughout the season, the site has 50,000 registered subscribers and is one of the most popular sites in the WRC.
Verio Europe will deliver content in real time for swrt.com with its Verio Smart Content Delivery service. The Smart Content Delivery (SCD) solution is a collection of intelligent content delivery services that allow event sites with peaks in Internet traffic to distribute content more effectively, efficiently and intelligently. Via the SCD solution, website content is cached and distributed on multiple SCD servers located in the US, Europe and Asia. Bandwidth is provided via high-speed connections as needed.

For 2005, BBS will supply the Subaru World Rally team with forged aluminium wheels for its rally cars.
