A Reintroduction Is in Order

Welcome to the all-new redesigned for 2004 Subdriven.com - now with more standard features, sexy new looks sure to get the attention of all the co-workers in your office, 50% better torsional rigidity than the outgoing model, vastly improved handling and responsiveness, loads of traction with plenty of bias control. All available at an unbeatable low price...

To be a little more serious though, welcome to the new Subdriven.com. We've spent a considerable time planning, evaluating, debating, designing and honing in order to make Subdriven a better website and, in reality, a better Subaru Magazine. We took a long hard look at what we were doing right and doing wrong and after many long hours we feel we have put together an improved Subdriven for you the reader.

So let's walk through some of the new changes you'll find on the new site:

Home Page: The Home Page of our site has been updated with a new look and feel and has been organized a bit better to make certain sections easier to scan through.

Forums: The Subdriven Discussion Forums are the center of our community and "glue" of the site where Subaru (and non-Subaru) enthusiasts can gather to shoot the breeze, discuss the latest aftermarket parts, debate the latest Subaru products and more. We've been upgrading our backend servers and the forum software itself to keep it running as smoothly and quickly as possible. We're also moving forward with our plans to have all the forums centralized on one username database so you only need to use one user name and password on any of our enthusiast websites. In addition, our Community and Motorsport forums are now shared across multiple sites making it easier to stay within the community.

News: Our news section is now automated on the backend and has subnavigation broken down by several sub groups, plus the addition of an all-new Tuner News section with the latest press releases and product announcement by our advertisers. As mentioned above, the news section is also updated on a near-daily basis and is fully searchable.

Features: The most radically changed of all our sections, Features has been given an all-new look and is now broken down into a number of subcategories:

- Feature Cars: If you've been in our forums, you may have noticed that we have been looking for submissions from readers interested in having their car featured on our website (if you think you've got a special car send us an email at: features@subdriven.com). We will be featuring all sorts of Subarus in the near future, so stay tuned.

- Project Cars: Our project cars area highlights many different vehicles from old-school to the latest models featuring full restoration work to basic aftermarket mods.

- Events Coverage: Our Events section is where you will find the latest coverage and photo galleries from domestic and international auto shows and enthusiast shows around the world.

- Reviews and Roadtests: First Drives of the latest new Subarus, comparison tests and more.

- Opinions and Editorial: Finally a place where our staff, special guests and even readers get a chance to sound off. We hope that you'll find this section a fun break from the usual news and features, plus we have a few "guest" columnists lined up that might surprise you.

-AUTObiography: our newest feature at Subdriven that gives our readers a chance to get their rides featured on our site. Readers can submit several photos and fill out our. We have the tedious task of selecting which of your witty responses and photos get published.

- Miscellaneous: Interviews, factory tours, and any other unique features that don't fit into our other categories.

Galleries: We have moved our Galleries link to the main navigation now to make it easier to find the latest new photos.

Resources: Our Resources section is broken down into five subcategories: Model Guides with the latest information on new models; Galleries with all the latest photos; Calendar of Events listing upcoming events; Links with links to Subaru corporate and enthusiast websites; and Project Cars where you'll find our current aftermarket and restoration project cars.

Marketplace: Featuring Subdriven Gear store, Classifieds and Virtual Mall.

Letters to the Editor: Coming Soon, we'll have a letters to the editor section where we'll pull select letters from our readers and put on display.

And to you, the readers, we thank you for your continued support. We're striving as best we can to provide one of the best resources around for Subaru owners and encourage you to stop in and say hi on our discussion forums.

It is always amazing to each of us here when we bump into someone at a show or in a parking lot that mentions the site and how much he or she enjoys it. We hope the new changes make the site an even better resource. If you have any comments or suggestions feel free to click on the forum link below to let us know what you think.

Cheers and Happy Motoring!

- Coby
